Book Review Guidelines and tips:
  • Only post reviews of books you like--it doesn't have to be a perfect book but should be one you recommend.
  • Books of any genre, fiction or nonfiction, may be reviewed
  • Let your passion and personality shine through!
  • Add some flavor by including interesting and beautiful quotes.
  • Be specific--details peak interest but no spoilers, please!
  • Other ideas--compare the title to other books by the same author or treating the same themes, comment on writing style, characters, whatever struck you.
  • We will insert a picture of the book cover in your blog posting to add some pizzazz and liven up the page
Please let me know if you have any questions or need help getting started.

  1. Thanks for setting this up - how fun!
I know it's bit early in the Novel Destinations Season, but I have to comment about the book "Unbroken" by Laura Hillenbrand.

This non-fiction book tells the story of Louis Zamperini, an olympic runner and then air man in the Pacific during WWII. His life is one of survival, pain, and forgiveness. From the thrill of the race to the horrific truths of the Japanese POW camp, this non-fiction book is a page turner that reads like a novel. I would highly recommend it! However, be prepared for the gruesome, and unfortunately true, stories and experiences in the POW camps.

    Great book!
